The 2016-2017 OCDA College & University Commissioning consortium has been formed with the intent to commission one or more composers to write a 4-5 minute work for SATB with some dives on a text of their choosing being appropriate for the varied settings of the consortium participants. Given sufficient participation we will commission one Ohio and one non-Ohio composer.
Participating choirs will receive the work in electronic form in August of 2016 and will be able to premiere the work in their communities during the 2016-17 academic year, after which the piece will be available for sale to the public. Participating ensembles will share the commission and printed dedications equally. The cost of participation is $300 ($307.06 if paying by credit card/PayPal). The consortia fee will be due to OCDA by October 25, 2015.
